These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Receipt Maker, including our website, builder, templates, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Receipt Maker, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. What Receipt Maker Is

Receipt Maker is an online tool for designing and customizing receipt-style documents and templates. It is a design and document-creation tool only. It is not a receipt verification, authentication, accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or legal service, and it does not certify, validate, or confirm the accuracy or authenticity of anything you create.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time as the Service evolves.

3. Permitted Uses

Receipt Maker is intended for lawful, legitimate purposes, including:

personal record-keeping and recreating a receipt you have lost or misplaced for a purchase you actually made
creating documents for your own real transactions, business, or bookkeeping
design mockups, prototypes, templates, and presentations
education, training, illustration, and creative or novelty projects

You are responsible for ensuring that your particular use is lawful in your jurisdiction.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Receipt Maker for any unlawful, misleading, or deceptive purpose. Prohibited uses include, without limitation:

creating false or misleading receipts to obtain refunds, returns, or chargebacks you are not entitled to
submitting inaccurate documents for reimbursements, tax deductions, insurance claims, or expense reports
misrepresenting purchases, payments, or financial transactions
impersonating a business, merchant, or brand in a way intended to deceive
any activity that is unlawful, deceptive, or designed to defraud another person or organization

Any use of the Service that violates these Terms or applicable law is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or termination.

5. Your Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for everything you create, enter, upload, or generate with the Service, including any names, logos, trademarks, text, images, amounts, and other details, and for how you use the output.

You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed for any logos, brand names, trademarks, or images you include, and that your use does not infringe the rights of others. We do not review, endorse, or verify user-created content, and you agree not to treat any output as a real or verified transaction record.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service itself, including the website, software, branding, and design, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, and transfer no ownership to you.

7. Accounts and Paid Features

Some features require an account, which you may create by signing in with a supported provider. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it.

Some features may be offered on a paid basis, including subscriptions that renew automatically unless cancelled. Where paid plans apply, we will present the pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before you purchase, and payments will be handled by a third-party processor. We do not store full card details.

8. Service Availability

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We make no warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or reliability. In particular, we do not warrant that any document you create will be accepted by any store, business, bank, institution, authority, or other third party, or that any output is legally valid or suitable for official use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Receipt Maker and its affiliates and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any misuse of the Service or output by you or others, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed EUR 100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Receipt Maker and its affiliates and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right, or any content you create or generate.

12. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or used the Service in a prohibited, unlawful, harmful, or deceptive way. We may also remove or restrict content where necessary to protect the Service, comply with the law, or respond to abuse or legal complaints.
